When processed/extracted (e.g., using the UsCountyShapeReader utility), the data is represented as an 8-column tab-delimited text with the following fields:

Usage Notes

Unzip us_county.zip to access standard shapefile components (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj, etc.)

Use GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, GDAL, geopandas) to read the shapefile directly

The tab-delimited format is useful for lightweight parsing or database import
